The 25th congressional district is one of the more populated districts in Florida. It is located in the Southern part of the state. The district spans from the suburbs of West Miami to the Northern Everglades and Eastern Naples area.

-In 2015, Florida's Supreme Court ruled that the lines determining districts were unconstitutional. The lawsuit was brought on by the League of Women Voters along with some other smaller groups. With the ruling, eight congressional districts were ordered by the court to be redrawn and one of those districts was the 25th District. This was not the first time for the 25th to be redrawn as it was redrawn in 2010 as well due to new population data. With the 2015 case, the Florida House and Senate could not decide on a new map causing it to go to trial bin which Judge Terry Lewis picked a map which the Supreme Court held up (Ballotpedia, No Year Given). -The 25th is a Republican District. It was given an R+4 rating according to the 2018 Cook Partisan Voter Index. This means that in the last two presidential, the results in the 25th were 4% more Republican than the national average. This latest calculation means that Florida's 25th is the 200th- most republican district in the nation (Ballotpedia 2018).
